Based in Saratoga, California, Melody Fallah Khair has served as the head of standards and research for cloud and network services (CNS) at Nokia in Sunnyvale since 2019. Her responsibilities in this position mainly include research and prototype activities for next-generation 6G autonomous networks, including networks with both cloud-native and AI-native principles. Melody Fallah Khair strives to uphold and elevate 6G and 5G standards in accordance with internal business unit metrics and customer expectations.

Ms. Fallah-Khair’s research has emphasized autonomous networks capable of self-healing and self-optimization. During her time as a CNS professional specializing in self-operating networks, she has developed multiple patents and published several articles. Her career achievements include receiving the Nokia Cloud Network Services Full Stack Award in recognition of her leadership efforts with the company’s autonomous network research initiative.

Ms. Fallah-Khair holds a master of science in telecommunications technology management and an undergraduate degree in software engineering. She balances her CNS leadership activities with her contributions to the Blood Cancer United Silicon Valley chapter. A cancer survivor, her work with the organization involves mentoring members of the Student Visionary program.
